柳川高校が実施するタイ短期研修プログラムは、多文化交流を目的とした内容で、現地の中学生や大学との交流を通じて、タイの文化や環境について学びます。異なる価値観にふれ、自分の視野を広げる貴重な体験ができるプログラムです。私たちと一緒に東南アジアでの生活を体験してみませんか？皆様のご参加を心よりお待ちしております！

Interaction with the Local University Students タイの大学生との交流
On Samui Island, participants will deepen their intercultural understanding through English-language exchange with local university students. They will also have the opportunity to experience Thai culture by participating in a traditional Thai cooking activity. The group will stay at a comfortable hotel managed by the university, providing a safe and relaxing environment. Through shared experiences of communication and cuisine, students can build meaningful connections and gain valuable insights into a different culture.
サムイ島では、現地の大学生との英語での交流を通じて、異文化理解を深めることができます。また、タイ料理作りにも挑戦し、現地の食文化を体験します。滞在は大学が管理する快適なホテルで、安心して過ごすことができます。言葉や料理を通じた交流を通して、国境を越えたつながりと貴重な学びが得られる機会となるでしょう。
Enjoying the beautiful nature of Samui Island サムイ島の自然を楽しむ
Samui Island, participants will also enjoy sightseeing. The group will visit the beautiful Ang Thong National Marine Park, an archipelago of around 50 islands. Traveling by speedboat, they will explore various islands and fully experience the rich natural environment through activities such as snorkeling, sea kayaking, and beach walks.
サムイ島の滞在では、大小50の島々からなる美しいアントン国立海洋公園を訪れます。シュノーケリングやシーカヤック、ビーチ散策など、豊かな自然を五感で体感することができます。
Visiting Thai Local Junior High School 柳川高校附属タイ中学校訪問
Yanagawa High School has an affiliated junior high school in Thailand, where local students are enthusiastically studying Japanese. As part of the study program, participants will visit this school and have a valuable opportunity to interact with the students using Japanese. Through group activities, they will learn from each other, build friendships, and deepen their understanding of different cultures. It will be a highly meaningful experience that enhances global awareness and communication skills.
柳川高校にはタイに附属中学校があり、現地の生徒たちは日本語を熱心に学んでいます。研修プログラムではこの学校を訪問し、日本語を使って現地の生徒たちと交流する貴重な機会があります。グループ活動を通して、互いに学び合い、友情を育み、異文化への理解を深めることができます。国際感覚やコミュニケーション力を高める、非常に有意義な体験となるでしょう。
Thinking about the Environmental Issues 環境問題について考える
Nakhon Si Thammarat, where the affiliated junior high school in Thailand is located, is a beautiful region surrounded by rich natural landscapes. In this area, participants can take part in a mangrove planting activity. Traveling by small boat to the tidal flats, they will have the valuable opportunity to actually plant trees while learning about Thailand’s natural environment and the importance of its conservation. This hands-on experience with nature will surely leave a lasting impression and deepen environmental awareness.
タイ附属中学校があるナコンシータマラートは、豊かな自然に囲まれた美しい地域です。この地では、マングローブの植林体験に参加することができます。小型船に乗って干潟に向かい、実際に植林を行いながら、タイの自然環境やその保全の大切さについて学ぶ貴重な機会となります。自然とふれあい、環境への意識を高める体験は、きっと心に残るものになるでしょう。
Sightseeing : Temple & Night Market 観光：寺院・ナイトマーケットなど
During the study trip, students will visit beautiful temples that reflect Thailand’s rich history and spiritual traditions, as well as enjoy exploring lively night markets. From the dazzling pagodas that leave a lasting impression to the colorful array of street food and local crafts, this experience offers a unique opportunity to engage all five senses and immerse oneself in Thai culture.
研修旅行では、タイの歴史や信仰を感じられる美しい寺院を訪れるほか、活気あふれるナイトマーケットでの散策も楽しめます。きらびやかな仏塔に心を打たれ、屋台に並ぶ色とりどりの料理や雑貨に目を奪われながら、五感でタイの文化に触れることができる貴重な体験が待っています。

Q1 . 一番思い出に残っている体験を教えてください。Please tell me about the most memorable experience in this trip.
私が1番思い出に残っている体験は、マングローブ林の植樹体験です。地理の授業でマングローブ林のことは知っていましたが、実際の植樹は日本ではなかなか体験できないことなのですごく思い出に残ってます。一緒に船に乗った現地の大学生の方々はとても優しくて、日差しがあったら洋服などでおおって太陽を遮ってくれました！また船に乗ってる間、お話をしたり、写真を撮ったりと交流もたくさんすることができたのですごく印象的です！
One of the most memorable experiences I’ve had was participating in a mangrove tree-planting activity. I had learned about mangrove forests in geography class, but actually planting them was something I could never experience in Japan, which made it really special. The local university students who joined us on the boat were very kind—they even used their clothes to block the sun for me when it got too sunny! While we were on the boat, we had lots of fun talking and taking photos together, so it left a really strong impression on me.
Q2 . 困ったことは何かありましたか。Were there challenges you faced?
私はこのタイの研修旅行が海外に行くことが初めてで正直不安なことはたくさんありました。現地のご飯は自分の口に合うのかが私の中では一番不安でした。最初食べた時は慣れない味だったけれど、何回か食べたらだんだん慣れてきて普通に食べれるようになりました。日本料理が恋しくなっても、タイには意外と日本料理が食べられるところもあったので、安心でした♪
This training trip to Thailand was my first time going abroad, so to be honest, I had a lot of worries. What I was most concerned about was whether the local food would suit my taste. The first time I tried it, the flavors were unfamiliar, but after eating it a few times, I gradually got used to it and was able to eat it without any problem. Even when I started missing Japanese food, I felt relieved because there were actually quite a few places in Thailand where I could eat Japanese dishes♪
Q3 . タイ学生（中学/大学）との交流はどうでしたか？How was your interaction with the Thai students (middle school or university students)?
まず中学生と交流した時、日本のお菓子を持って行ってすごく喜んでもらったことが印象に残っています。また、中学生が頑張って日本語で話しかけてくれようとしてすごいなと思いました。大学生との交流では、英語での会話が多く、普段授業でやってきた英語を実際に聞いて、思ったよりも聞き取れたことがすごく嬉しかったです。また、一緒にタイ料理を作った時はすごく仲良くしてもらえて今でもインスタグラムなどで繋がっています。
First, when we interacted with the middle school students, I remember how happy they were when we gave them Japanese snacks—we brought some with us, and they were really excited. I was also impressed by how hard the students tried to speak to us in Japanese.
During the exchange with the university students, we mostly communicated in English. I was really happy that I could understand more than I expected, especially since it was the kind of English we had been learning in class. Also, when we cooked Thai food together, they were so friendly, and we got along really well. Even now, we still keep in touch through Instagram and other social media platforms.
Q4 . これから参加する人へメッセージをお願いします！Do you have any advice or message for those who will join in the future?
日本に住んでいては感じられないことや新しい発見が沢山あり、参加して損は無いです！世界に目を向けることでいろいろなことに興味を持つことができ、私は外国がとても好きになりました。そしてもっと英語を喋れるようになりたいと思えるようになりました。友達も沢山できるから、安心して参加することができます！迷ってるならぜひ参加してみてください！きっと世界観が広がると思います！
There were so many new discoveries and experiences that I could never have had while living in Japan, so joining this program was definitely worth it! By looking beyond Japan and learning about the world, I found myself becoming interested in many different things—and I grew to really love foreign countries. It also made me want to improve my English even more. You’ll make lots of friends too, so you can join without any worries! If you’re unsure about whether to join, I really encourage you to go for it—it will definitely broaden your perspective!
